About me
I'm Chhavi Yadav, a scientist in the making. My name is pronounced as ch-uh-v-ih y-ah-d-uh-v.
I'm broadly interested in Trustworthy Machine Learning (ML). Currently I work on explainability and auditing methods for black-box models (but not limited to these). I am also very interested in biological applications of ML.
In the past, I have worked on protein folding & Visual Q&A as well.
Please reach out if you have a cool idea and want to talk to me! I would love to collaborate. I also look forward to mentor students who are interested in research.
Currently, I'm a 2nd year PhD student in the Computer Science & Engineering Department at UC San Diego. I work with Prof. Kamalika Chaudhuri and Michal Moshkovitz.
I'm a core co-organizer at The Trustworthy ML Initiative.
Before coming to UCSD, I received a Master's in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, NYU. Here, I was lucky to be advised by Léon Bottou and Prof. Narges Razavian.
I spent some amazing time working at Walmart Labs, Udacity & Mercedes-Benz R&D.
